Washington Capitals

Today we have the pleasure to present the new Washington Capitals mask for my friend Dan Ellis.😎

Dan and I have been working together for 10 years, it is a long line of exciting masks we have created together. With this new Washington Capitals mask Dan wanted to do a design i the old school era.⭐️

We brainstormed together, and a plan emerged, I started to create.🎨

On a distance it is a very classic design with the Caps eagle in focus. All created in a vintage style which fits the matte finish perfect. Then when you come closer it opens up and becomes a Storyteller mask📚. I love the challenge of creating the designs in the details.🔎

And just as usual you will find all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX💎 in the creation.

Justin´s dawg mask transformed into Abe Lincoln…⭐️

Washington Capitals

I had so fun when I painted and created this piece… Justin always has his mask transformed into a crazy dawg.. 🐶 Check out his earlier masks we have made together, you find them on my site 😊

Well how about transform the dawg into a politician, since Justin plays in the Capitals city with all the politicians… me and Justin brainstormed together, and then this idea popped up… How about transform Justin´s dawg into President Lincoln🎩, a true boss and President, yea why not?

So here he is, the dawg is showing off his teeth more than ever, and since he is Abe, he has the Abe beard, Abe hat and the same kind of tie as Abe….🎨

And just as usual, if you dare to come close to this hungry dawg, you will find a storybook of details, Abe himself, and the Capitolium, and the President´s sigill…and more...

And this dawg really takes care of his teeth and brush them very well, so well so they glows in the dark…💡

Holtby´s interacticve mask…💻

Washington Capitals

Today we have the pleasure to present the latest chapter in Braden Holtby´s mask history.⭐️

Just like on Braden´s Winter Classic mask Uncle Sam pop up on the mask, a perfect fit for a goalie in the Capital city.

And the design is not only a time machine with the old school wibes, it is also an interactive design 💻... When you look at the paintings on the sides through a camera 📷 and invert the colors... it transforms in front of your eyes and Uncle Sam emerges again… We have added extra inverted photos to show…. 😬🎨

The mask truly breath Washington Capitals to 100% and on a distance the design is in total harmony with the Capitals uniform.

When you come closer to the mask it opens up like a storybook. I love to create designs which also are a storyteller📖.

As usual the design is loaded with all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX💎 all over the mask, waiting to be discovered.

Thanks Braden, I am so proud to be your personal mask artist.😃

It is with a great pleasure we present Pheonix Copley´s latest Washington Capitals mask art. 👊

Peters NHL Winter Classic 2015 mask transformed into a dawghouse...⛄️❄️🐶

Washington Capitals

It is with a great pleasure we present Justin Peters new Washington Capitals mask for the upcoming NHL Winter Classic 2015...❄️⛄️

As usual it is a Dawg 🐶 on Justin's masks... He always has a Dawg on his masks... But hey what is going on on this mask...? Well since it is the Winter Classic and it is so cold outdoor the Dawg wants to be indoor... So we transformed Justin's mask into a warm dawghouse... So the Dawg can sit indoor in the cozy heat in front of the open fire 🔥...

Check out the smoke 💭 coming from the chimney... He really have it warm and cozy in there in the dawghouse👍 ....You can also find the Dawg's breath in the cold air coming out from the opening in the front... And parts of his winter scarf, of course with a Caps design😃

For sure it is winter outside the dawghouse, check out the snow and ice, lucky Dawg to sit indoor and not outdoor in that cold...❄️⛄️

And we recommend not to touch the Dawg's bone... If you look close on the bone you will see his bitemarks...😬

Thanks Justin! I am so proud to be your artist, we have worked for many years and created many Dawg masks together, and we have already new Dawg stuff in the pipeline!🎨

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all...⛄️

Holtby´s NHL Winter Classic mask...❄⛄

Washington Capitals

Today we have the pleasure to present Braden Holtby´s NHL Winter Classic 2015 mask

It was such a joy to create this piece for you Braden. Braden and me have worked together for many years. Braden had such a cool idea, he told me he wanted to pay tribute to the greatest Capitals goalie, Olaf Kolzig. I just loved his ideas.

The design is inspired by Olaf Kolzig´s early clean design from the 90´s, created by Dennis Simone. Me and Braden transformed it into a clean cut Winter Classic design. We wanted the design to feel very old school, so Uncle Sam on the top is not created with airbrush, I painted it with a normal brush, to give the design that old school vibe. I love to paint in different styles from mask to mask.

On a distance it is a clean cut design in total harmony with the Winter Classic uniform, and the closer you come the more details you will discover and the mask transforms in front of your eyes and becomes a Storyteller design. Among all the details you will find Kolzig´s name and number and much more, details you can only see when you see the mask live

EPIX also visited me in my studio when I created the mask, check it out on the TV show ”The Road to the NHL Winter Classic”.

Just as usual the design is loaded with all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX.

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all, much more to come!

But hey what is he doing..? He is chewing on the Caps logo, that is some hungry dawg!

Me and Justin have been working together for many years, check out Justin's previous Dawg masks on my site daveart.com . Thanks Justin, so proud to be your painter! :)

Just as usual the painting is loaded with all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX, most of the stuff you can only see when you see the mask live...

The Desolation of Grubi continues… with Atomic Breath...

Washington Capitals

Today we have the pleasure to present the latest artwork for Philipp Grubauer of the Washington Capitals. His last mask named ”The Desolation of Grubi” was a huge success, and here comes the insane continuation…

This design is so fully loaded of energy… atomic energy…so the whole design boils and is ready to erupt… all the colors from the previous design has inverted… and the atomic power is ready to spit fire, or as we call it, deliver some atomic breath! Watch out!

I love to brainstorm and come up with new design ideas together with the goalies day in day out, it is a very creative process. Every mask I create is always 100% unique…!

Of course the whole design is packed with extreme details all over the mask to tell the story of Atomic Breath…:) And for sure all the DAVEART trademark effects is there..

Holtby´s old school design is here

Washington Capitals

I am very proud to present Washington Capitals keeper Braden Holtby´s latest #NHL mask artwork, named "Number 70 of the Capitals".

It was very exciting to create this old school piece. I came up with the design an early summer morning. The goal was a design that delivers in all angles.

The whole design is built on Capitals third uniform. On a distance the design is a clean classic design in total sync with the uniform, and the closer you come #Holtby ´s artwork it is transforming into a full-blown tribute to the Capital city of America.

I just love to create details, and the american bald eagles painted in this #Washington #Capitals design is the key to explore the design.

Braden, I just love to paint for you and be your personal artist and evolve and explore your mask designs, thank you!

The design is loaded with all the #DAVEART trademark effects, such as #3DPaintTech, #MetallicFX, #Holographics, #NanoDetailPaintTech and so much more.

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Please, do not feed the animal

Washington Capitals

Braden Holtby wanted his new Washington Capitals mask to be something truly unique.. So we transformed it into a birdcage :)

"Please, do not feed the animal", yes it is what the sign on the birdcage says, and that is also our strongest recommendation…

This bald eagle must be really dangerous, cause it is not only in a birdcage, the birdcage is also a quarantine…. He seems infected by something dangerous, he is drooling… Or he is just very mad… Lucky us that birdcage looks quite strong, and the padlock seems pretty strong… But we can´t be sure… Stay away…

I can tell you this, I had very fun when I created this creature. Always exciting to come up with new and total custom ideas every day and transform masks into something else… And just as usual this #Washington #Capitals mask for #BradenHoltby is loaded with all the #DAVEART trademark effects, such as #Holographics, #MetallixFX, #3DPaintTech, #GhostSmoke, #NanoDetailPaintTech, just what I love to create… :) The closer you come, the more details you will discover.

Braden and me have been working together for many years and it´s always such a joy. Thanks Braden, love to be your personal artist! :-)

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

The Capitals Eagle logo comes to life…

Washington Capitals

On Michal Neuvirth´s latest Washington Capitals mask the Capitals Eagle logo comes to life…! The eagle is caught just between the transformation from the logo eagle look into a realistic look. The wings spread out over the mask and embraces it... it´s getting ready to fly.

It is so exciting to create a design in old school style mixed with top modern fx.

Just as usual the design is pumped with details and hidden messages… Just to name a few, the red and white squares on the top is a tribute to the Czech flag, and you will also find the Chech flag on the side as well on the back piece of the mask.

Just as on all Michal´s previous masks the Strekov Castle from his hometown is on the side of the mask.

I just love to paint in different styles from day to day and come up with new ideas. Love to be your painter Michal!

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery, in the App or on our Facebook page.

Thank you all.
