PW´s new Färjestad mask is here...

Today we have the pleasure to present the Färjestad keeper Fredrik ”PW” Pettersson-Wentzel's new SHL mask for the coming season.

The new design is created in the same theme as PW´s previous designs, with villains from the Batman world… You are welcome to check out all PW´s masks in our gallery.

I just love to paint for the SHL goalies, it is here I started to paint for over 18 years ago. I just love to come up with new design ideas every day and work hard and do what I love the most, to paint :)

This design is built in a classic old school way, crisp look on a distance, and the closer you come the more details you will discover and the mask enters a new dimension. I just love to paint details and create a lot of effects.

Just as usual the design is loaded with all the DAVEART trademark effects, such as Metallic FX, Holographix FX, 3D PaintTech and so much more :)

Gibson new Ducks mask transformed into Pac-Man… Watch out for the ghosts!

Today we have the pleasure to present the new mask for Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson. And this mask is something totally unique… it is transformed into the classic video game Pac-Man… and instead of the yellow eating dot, here it is a Ducks mask eating the smaller dots, so let us introduce the Pac-Duck mask! :) A nice tribute to the classic video game. Hey Pac-Duck, watch out for the ghosts!

I love to brainstorm and come up with new design ideas together with the goalies day in day out, it is a very creative process :)

Of course the whole design is painted in old school pixel styles, just as the video games from the 80´s… Even the Ducks logo on the sides are painted with pixels! The only thing not painted in pixel styles are the eating Ducks masks…:)

This mask is also created with the new incredibly popular super effect, DAVEART Hologram FX 2.0… can only be seen in moving video shots… take a look at our Instagram.com/davidofdaveart to see a video…

And of course just as usual the design is totally loaded with extreme detail work all over the mask, just what I love to do… you even find the cool pixel cherries from the game :)

Johansson´s tribute design to the Brynäs legend Wille Löfqvist

Today we have the honor to present the Brynäs goalie Jonas Johansson's new SHL mask.

Jonas called me and told me he wanted his mask to be a tribute to the legendary Brynäs keeper Wille Löfqvist. I totally loved the idea and I immediately started to make research and brainstorm how to create it. I presented a design plan for Jonas and he immediately gave me green light.

The design is built as a classic old school design on a distance, and the closer you come the more details you will discover and the mask enters a new dimension.

On the side of the mask I painted an artwork with Löfqvist, both a portrait and also a painting when he is sitting in the locker room. I wanted to catch the classic old school hockey feeling for the whole design.

I just love to paint details, of course this mask is loaded with it, and all the DAVEART trademark effects.

Gistedt's new Leksand mask in vintage style

I am so happy to present Leksand's goalie Joel Gistedt's new SHL mask, a design in classic vintage style.

Me and Joel have been working together since Joel was a kid. It is always so fun to paint for you Joel!

Joel wanted a design in a clean classic style with a touch of Vintage. I came up with this design solution and Joel wanted me to start direct. :-)

A design that works in all angles and feels like 100% Leksand. I just love to paint details, of course this mask is loaded with it, and all the DAVEART trademark effects.

Swedish classic Kurbits art on Alsenfelt's new Leksand mask

Today we have the pleasure to present Leksand's goalie Oscar Alsenfelt's new SHL mask, built on the beautiful classic Swedish art of Kurbits.

When Oscar and me was about to start on his new mask Oscar asked his Twitter followers what they wanted on his new mask, and many thought Kurbits would be cool on his mask. Kurbits is a Swedish classic artform from the area of Leksand. I loved the idea and couldnt wait to get started.
