Lassinantti's tribute to Myllys on his new Luleå mask

Today we have the pleasure to present Joel Lassinantti's new Luleå mask for the coming season.

A mask with a tribute to the Luleå legend Jarmo Myllys. He was Joel's childhood heroes, and also one of my first clients in the SHL back in the 90's. So it was for sure a special experience for me to create this design.

On a distance it is a clean classic and old school Luleå mask, and when you come closer it opens up and enters a new dimension of Luleå details all over the mask. The mask transforms into a storyteller design.

And for sure the mask is loaded with all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX.

The Redhawk Avenger in Malmö

Watch out bad guys… The Redhawks Avenger is out there and he is going to catch you!

The Redhawks Avenger is living in his nest on the top of the famous Malmö building Turning Torso, and every night he jumps out from his nest to catch bad guys, as the true avenger he is…

It was so fun to create a super hero of a Redhawk, and transform the mask into a true Malmö Redhawks mask. I love to create stuff from scratch and just play with the fantasy and create a story on the masks :) And hey, google Turning Torso and check it out, it is such a cool building in Malmö.

For sure the mask is loaded with extreme detail work to be discovered all over the mask as a treasure map. And of course all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX is here, just like all the small cute paw prints from Pontus dog :)

Herman Liv is a DAVEART HERO goalie

It was an awesome feeling to create a real Liv mask again, a mask for Stefan Liv's son Herman.

Herman´s father Stefan and I worked together for 12 years and I made all his masks since he was a teenager, and now it was time for the next generation Liv to get a custom painted mask. Herman is chosen as the Daveart HERO, because he is such a great brother to his little brother Harry and son to his mom.

Herman wanted a tribute design to his father. I created paintings of Stefan on each side, parts of them made with a brush because that was Stefan´s favorite paint technique, and I also mixed with some airbrush work.

Around it I created an old school HV71 design with lots of details and all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX, among them DAVEART GLOW Tech FX...

PW´s tribute mask ❤️

Today we have the pleasure to present the new HV71 mask artwork for HV71´s new goalie Fredrik ”PW” Pettersson-Wentzel.

When PW told me what he wanted to share on his new mask, I was so moved. PW wanted to send out a tribute to the two goalies Stefan Liv and Ivan Turina.

Stefan Liv was the goalie hero of HV71. Stefan Liv and I were very good friends and I painted all his masks during more than 12 years. Stefan Liv passed away in 2011.

Ivan Turina was the goalie hero in the Swedish soccer team AIK which is also PW´s favorite soccer team. Ivan Turina passed away 2013.

PW and I started to discuss and brainstorm how to create this design into a worthy tribute painting. We came up with a plan and I started to paint.

A clean cut old school design, loaded with details which breath HV71, and one side dedicated Stefan Liv and the other side dedicated to Ivan Turina.❤️

PW´s new number 53 on the chin, inspired from the number of PW´s friend and KHL pro Alex Salak.

PW, it was such an honor to create this piece for you and something I will always keep in my heart. Thank you.

Blue Jackets artwork...💣💥

During the spring the Columbus Blue Jackets ran a mask contest. Draw a design and your design can be picked, and I was honored to create it 😃🎨. Thanks Columbus Blue Jackets!

It was so fun to create the winner design. A design built on the awesome CBJ logos, and I loaded it with 3-D effects and all the DAVEART Trademark FX. It was a fun ride :) 😃🚀
