Check out Marty Turco's new design with black base

Dallas Stars
Today we have the pleasure to present the Dallas Stars star keeper Marty Turco's new mask design created by his mask painter David Gunnarsson of DAVEART. Turco's mask designs by David have been enormously popular and this mask goes in the same spirit as the Turco's other mask design this season with white base. The new more cruel Gargoyles that David created for that design are here recreated in golden tints with black base color, since it's made for Dallas' black uniform.

Check out Steve Valiquette's anniversary mask created by David

New York Rangers
For the goalie mask anniversary game in Madison Square Garden on November the 1st New York Rangers wanted an anniversary mask also for Steve Valiquette. David Gunnarsson was honored to get the assignment and picked up the airbrush gun with big excitement.

The New York Rangers team gave David a brief description of how they wanted the design. They wanted it similar to Henrik Lundqvist's anniversary mask but not the same. Henrik's mask is besides the tribute to the original Plante mask also a tribute to Davidson's classic Rangers mask, but on Steve's mask they wanted a tribute to Richter's classic mask instead. David formed a complete design concept for this anniversary mask based on the wishes from the Rangers team, a design that goes perfect together with Lundqvist's.

David got the assignment to create unique anniversary mask for the Rangers keeper Lundqvist

New York Rangers
David Gunnarsson got the assignment by the New York Rangers to create a tribute painting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the goalie mask. The mask was to be used by Henrik Lundqvist in the anniversary game on the 1st of November 2009 in Madison Square Garden. It was a magic feeling and a big honor for David Gunnarsson to get the assignment to create this unique anniversary mask. Because what would the hockey be without the goalie mask, this fantastic invention by Jaques Plante.

It was back in 1959 that Jaques Plante introduced the first goalie mask, in a game in Madison Square Garden. The New York Rangers team gave David a brief description of how they wanted the design, and then David put together a complete design. The Rangers gave thumbs up and David picked up the airbrush gun and started the action.
