Today we have the pleasure to present Anders Nilsson´s new Edmonton Oilers mask🎨. The mask design is a time machine🚦, travelled from the early days of hockey. The design is the same as on Anders previous masks.

The old school hockey sticks in focus on the mask, made of textile. On a distance it is a clean and classic built design.

And the closer you come to the mask the more details you will discover🔎, and the mask transforms into a Storyteller mask📚.

Of course you will also find dripping oil, and you will also find the key to Anders hometown of Luleå, and most important of all❤️, a small painting of Anders son and dog.

Watch out, Viktor Fasth is transformed into a Creepypasta Clown… with eyes glowing in the dark…! 💡😱

And when the clown turns upside down… it literally transforms again, into a new kind of Creepypasta Clown… it´s a ShapeShifter! I remember when I was a kid and I often sat and draw monsters✏️, and when I turned my drawings upside down it became a new monster...😬

Of course it is a true Oilers Creepypasta clown… he is drooling oil… and the teeth are cogwheels…

My passion is to always try to think outside the box and come up with new ideas and create the designs based on the details🔍, and as usual it is loaded with all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX💎….

Takin´ care of business...

Richard Bachman´s new Edmonton Oilers mask is created in an old school style. The awesome logo of the Oilers shapes the design. And when you come closer the design opens up and enters a new dimension of detail work :)

And when you come really close you will discover the design is a tribute to the classic Canadian music band with the same name as Richard… We are talking about Bachman Turner Overdrive :) Such a cool idea of Richard :)

Viktor Fasth is transformed into a strange creature of a clown with this mask on... a clown in Oilers colors, and he is drewling oil of course...

And check out the teeth... Of course they are cogwheels as the machine this clown is, in the need of oil... And the cogwheels are also a cool connection to Fasth's previous machine mask...

Oh no, this clown is obsessed, when the mask rotates around the clown is transformed in front of your eyes into an even more creepy clown...

I love to always try to think outside the box to create new paintings and effects. Always move forward, never stand still 😎

Viktor Fasth is sweating oil…

This is a design that breath and sweat Oilers to 100%. Behind the old school mask Viktor is transformed into a machine… and lucky us Viktor is sweating oil… just what a machine needs!

When painting masks it is one thing that is the most important: Fantasy… And I just love to come up with new ideas day in day out :)

Today we have the pleasure to create Viktor Fasth´s new mask creation for his Edmonton Oilers.

I had so fun when I painted and created this piece, me and Viktor always have a lot of fun when we brainstorm new ideas…

The design is totally loaded with details, every cogwheel is airbrush painted one by one :) And check out the old school mask…. It is a true Oilers mask for sure, the eye holes and also the top design of it has the shape of an Oilers drop :)

A giraffe on Dubnyk´s new Edmonton mask…

I am very proud to present the new Edmonton Oilers mask for Devan #Dubnyk.

Devan and me brainstormed a lot during summer, Devan wanted something old school for his new #NHL mask, just as his previous #Edmonton #Oilers masks we have worked on together. A plan crystalized how the design could be created, and I started to paint :) Love to paint in different styles from day to day.

The tribute design is created as a homage to the old school Oilers masks. On a distance it is a classic old school design, and when you come closer you will discover all the details and the mask enters a new dimension with all the #DAVEART trademarks effects.

And not only that, the mask is a time traveler. Is is created just as if it´s 20 years old or more... it´s rust coming from the screws… and scratches and marks and stuff all over the mask. It´s like Devan found this 25 years old mask in the attic and just dusted it a bit and started to play :)

And just as usual on Devan´s masks, it is a cool giraffe checking in :) And it´s a hockey giraffe, he has his mask hanging there as well. We recommend him to put on the mask.

Bachman´s Oilers mask transformed into an oil pump..

This design idea came to me when listened to a country music concert this summer, the idea struck me like a lightning, it´s an awesome feeling :-) Richard Bachman of the Edmonton Oilers and me wanted to do an Oilers mask in a totally new way, and I love to come up with new ideas every day. We wanted to do a mask that felt like Oilers to 100%.

I made some sketches of my idea and the design idea worked. We transformed the whole mask into a hard working oil pump.

The old school oil pump is just like the pumps in the movie "There will be blood" you know, and it´s a very hard working pump because it´s splashing out oil all over. In the background a nice sky with glittering stars, and more hard working oil pumps, is just a few of all the details to tie to whole design into one piece.

I love the challenge to create detailed designs, in a new way, that also looks nice on a distance.

Dubnyk's time traveller mask

Devan Dubnyk's new Edmonton Oilers mask is a time traveller. We go back in time and get inspired by old school mask paintings from Oilers. Devan had some really cool ideas for the design, you find both old school graphics on the top and classic oil drops right in the middle of the face. It's all mixed together, created with a new twist into a new Oilers design.

It was such a joy to create this painting an early hot summer morning. It's all made with strong contrasts, 3-D effects and cool special FX, a design that lives and breathes Edmonton Oilers. And the backplate was created in a very special way... :-)

Dubnyk's new mask in a new style

We are very proud to welcome Edmonton Oilers' goalie Devan Dubnyk as a member of our team. He had seen my paintings and wanted my help for his new mask look. A dream project! I love to always create and come up with new design styles and ideas, never stand still, thats my thing... :-) We talked about different design ideas and Devan had an awesome idea how he wanted a razor sharp design with kind of flames inspired things, with a sweet Oilers feeling.

I came up with this hybrid of 3-D waving flames mixed with oil drops, and created in an old school style with extreme detail job. A design to discover both from a distance, and up close with a world of details. The metallic colors give nice effects and make it a design that feels like Edmonton to 100%. And as always very cool details on the backplate.

Deslauriers hit by oil in the face

It was very exciting to create the action-filled oil splat design on Jeff Deslauriers' Edmonton Oilers mask. This is a classic Oilers idea with oil flowing on the mask, and here we have upgraded it with extreme 3-D effects, where Jeff looks to have been hit by oil in the face and the oil literally flows all over the mask. I love to paint much details, and the design pops out with its strong contrasts.
