Nilsson's new KHL mask...

Today we have the pleasure to present Anders Nilsson's new KHL mask for his new team AK Bars Kazan.

With this mask we travel back in time and creates an old school design built with strong contrasts and in vintage style. A design that breath hockey to 100%... :)

The brain smashed open on this ice cool dude...

Julius Hudacek had so many cool and funny ideas when it was time to create his #KHL mask last summer :)

We brainstormed a lot, and this frozen ice piece was created... And through the ice that cool Moose dude breaks out... Of course with a big winter hat, since he is in Sibiria.. The moose is a personal favorite of Julius.

The ice mask gets so many shots in the ice so it breaks open so Julius' brain is showing...

Just as usual the design is loaded with all kind of #DAVEART trademark effects, such as lots and lots of 3D effects :) Just what I love to do.

Lundström's KHL mask is a tribute to the city

It's with a great joy we present Joakim Lundström's new #KHL mask for his new team Admiral Vladivostok.

The design is created as an old school design and it is a tribute to the city if Vladivostok. The closer you come the more details you will discover, among them the famous bridge of the town and also a map of the transibiran railway :)

Rastislav Stana goes old school

It´s with a great joy we present the new KHL mask artwork for CSKA Moscow´s keeper Rastislav Stana.

The design is a direct continuation of Rasti´s previous mask design created in a graphic style with lots of old school contrasts… It is all built on the powerful team logo and the CSKA stars, and the closer you come the more details opens up and the design enters a new dimension.

It is a tribute to the city of Moscow with the Vasilij Cathedral drawing up on the side, and so much more details all over. I just love to paint a lot of details and connect the design.

It was a joy to create this piece for you Rasti, as always :-)

The Jucers Code...

Just as The Da Vinci Code has a lot of hidden messages, this design for Maris Jucers is totally loaded with details and hidden codes to be discovered when you come closer.

The Lions Of Dinamo is the name of Maris Jucers latest KHL mask for his team Dinamo Riga. It was such a joy to create this patriotic theme for you Maris!

During the design process this design was crystallized in front of our eyes, and I started the create it. Clean and old school layout, and totally loaded with details, among all the details you will find the freedom statue of Riga. And the stars on the top of the mask has a special meaning just like the stars in the statue´s hands.

Eagles Of Bratislava

Eagles of Bratislava, that is the name of Jaroslav Janus' mask for his team HC Slovan Bratislava.

An old school design totally ripped into pieces by the power of the eagle's claws. I just love to go crazy in the details and paint in different paint styles from day to day, I had so fun when I created this painting.

The closer you come to the mask, the more details you will discover, and the mask transforms in front of your eyes. The design is pimped with all kind of Super FX, like 3D PaintTech, Holographix FX, Metallic FX, GhostSmoke and so much more.... :-)

I have been painting for my friend Mikael Tellqvist for more than a decade. It is such a joy to create his masks from season to season.

Tomorrow it is time for the deciding game 7 in the final of the KHL playoffs, Avangard against Dynamo Moscow. I have worked with Avangard´s goalie Karri Rämö for many years and it is always so fun to create his masks.

Check out his latest mask. Karri wanted an old school design that breathes Avangard to a 100%. I love to create designs built on team logos with strong contrasts. From a distance it is a clean old school design, and when you come closer a new world of details opens up, stuff you cannot even see in photos. Big badass Viking on Stefan Liv's new mask

I have painted Stefan Liv's masks for more than 11 years now, and it's always much fun to tell a story with his masks. Stefan likes different and funny ideas, so we have changed style and design many many times. And it has been many newspaper stories about Stefan's masks through the years...

With Stefan now in Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, a city known for Vikings, and as a goalie coming from the Viking country Sweden, what could be better than a Viking theme?! Exactly... I created the design as a stylish red graphic design with distinct lines, on one side that is... On the other side there's action! The mask is chopped apart by a big fat ax in the hands of a huge monster Viking... You could say he shows who's the boss... It's always fun to create different characters, and this one got super muscles!

Wild ice bear rocks on Garnett’s new KHL mask

I had so much fun when I painted this design... The entire mask is created of ice, with the cool team logo on one side... but hey what happens, the ice breaks and out comes a wild ice bear with old school mask and hockey stick, ready for some hockey action! No players dare to come close to that dude...!

Old school design for Mikael Tellqvist

I have painted for the Swedish star keeper Mikael Tellqvist for more than 12 years now and it’s always as exciting. This mask design I created for him this winter, a design in a very classic spirit that is completely built on the club’s powerful logotype. Much old school think with strong contrasts, spiced up with quite a lot of design effects and 3-D details. The design gets clear and distinct from a long distance and when you look more close you discover a new world of details.

Ersberg KHL champion in this graphic mask design

We congratulate Ersberg who won the the KHL Championships in Russia this weekend wearing this design, a design created with airbrush and brush in stylish spirit. I have painted for Erik for many years and he always wants graphically clean and stylish designs, and this design is strongly inspired by the club’s logo. The name of the club, Salavat Yulaev, comes from the name of an old rebel and national hero, and on one side I painted the statue of him in graphic style. The rest of the mask is a symphony of colors and tints matching the uniform.

Karelin on Liv's KHL mask

Stefan Liv came up with the great idea to pay tribute to the district's big son on his KHL mask, the super dominant Greco-Roman wrestler Alexander Karelin. I rocked loose and painted Karelin as some kind of a hulk on the side, he's breaking through the ice mask... Siberia, you know... On the rest of the mask I created a distinct and clear design featuring the club logo.
