Pingu is here again…

Frölunda Indians
Johan Gustafsson and I have been working together for many years, since he was a teenager. And Pingu always pop up on his masks. It was Johan´s favorite cartoon when he grew up, and same for me :)🐧
And when Johan moves to Frölunda of course Pingu comes along, and of course shows up as an Indian. Pingu looks up a bit scared, he is afraid of all the shooting pucks…🐧😬
Around it I created an old school design which breath Frölunda Indians to 100%. The indian Chief on the top in focus was a sure thing for Johan.👊🏻
Thanks Johan, I am so happy and proud to be your artist and paint for you in your hockey career :)😎
And just as usual the designs are loaded with details, among the a road sign, yep, you always find it on Johan´s masks…🚦

It is always so exciting to paint and create for you Lasse!

Lasse wanted an Indians design in a clean classic style with a touch of Vintage. I came up with this design solution and Lasse wanted me to start direct

A design that works in all angles and feels like 100% Frölunda. I just love to paint details, of course this mask is loaded with it, and for sure all the DAVEART trademark effects.

Fernström´s new green Frölunda mask

Frölunda Indians

The playoffs in the Swedish league SHL is here, and Linus Fernström is just about to enter with his new green bucket… We have the pleasure to present it here today!

The design is a tribute to the powerful indian chief. The message is hidden in the details.

Me and Linus have worked together for many years, and I remember the first mask we made together, when Linus was a kid, back in the 90s! Oh man I am getting old… haha!

Linus had a clear vision for this mask, he wanted it created with lots of green, and some gold and white… no red. I loved his visions and I started to brainstorm…

His new design named ”The legacy of the Indian Chief” crystallized in front of our eyes and I started to paint.

A design that works in all angles, and both on a distance as up close. It was so fun to create this piece for you Linus!

As usual it is loaded with all the DAVEART trademark effects, and so much more…

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all, much more to come!

Retro lines on Fernström´s latest Frölunda mask

Frölunda Indians

Linus Fernström´s latest #SHL mask is created with strong contrasts and bold lines, creating a very retro design in total sync with the Frölunda uniform. I love to create old school designs. The strong contrasts gives a cool clean #Frölunda #Indians design on a distance, and the closer you come, the more details you will discover, and the design transforms in front of your eyes.

Just as usual you will also find all the special DAVEART trademark effects built into the design.

It is always such a pleasure to paint for Linus, we have been working together for many years. I painted for Linus when he was a kid back in the 90´s and I had my paint studio in my mom and dad´s house… :) The time flies by...

I am so proud to be your painter Linus :)

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all for your interest in my paintings.

Johansson´s new Frölunda mask

The coming SHL season is coming closer, and today we have the pleasure top present the new bucket for the Frölunda keeper Lars Johansson!

A classic created design with strong contrasts and lots and lots of details to discover all over the mask. Among all the details you will find Batman, a special request from Lars, as well as a dala horse, a tribute to Lars´ origin.

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask galleryor on our Facebook page.

Thank you all.

Henrik Lundqvist is ready

Frölunda Indians

Today we have the pleasure to present a very special creation… Henrik Lundqvist gave me a call a while ago, he wanted a new mask in case he would start playing for Frölunda during the lockout...

Together we brainstormed and this design was crystallized in front of our eyes. A totally unique combo of Frölunda Indians and New York Rangers. The Statute of Liberty just as usual on Henrik’s masks, this time created in Frölunda colors.

And above it all, the Frölunda Indian is watching with his powerful eyes. The indian on the top is a tribute to Henrik’s previous and incredibly popular and classic Frölunda mask we created together back in 2004 with the green base and the indian in gold.

And just as usual the design is loaded with bling bling and insane detail work to discover the closer you get. The lightning are a sure thing, me and Henrik have always included lighting in all his designs since 1997.

So proud to be your painter Henrik!

You’re all welcome to check out Henrik Lundqvist’s Frölunda Indians mask in our gallery, on our Facebook and in the App.

Thank you all.

Galbraith turns into a Badass Bunny with his new Frölunda mask

Frölunda Indians

The Swedish Elite league team Frölunda Indians´ new keeper Patrick Galbraith wanted something really, really unique on his new Frölunda mask...

Day in day out, year after year, I just love to come up with new design ideas. Every mask I paint every day is always 100% unique. I´ve been doing this for 16 years now and I just keep on working. :-)

In the hometown of the Frölunda Indians, Gothenburg, there is a green mascot rabbit living at an amusement park, and that rabbit might have a cousin...and that rabbit likes to play hockey, and to be a goalie... Well, here he is! It cannot be more Gothenburg than this... :-)

With this mask on Patrick turns into the Badass Bunny! Just as usual the mask is action packed with details to discover.

Welcome to check it out in the mask gallery, if you dare! Thank you for your interest!

Hudacek´s new Frölunda mask

Frölunda Indians

It was so fun to work with you Julius and create your first Frölunda mask!

The design is a so called 2 in 1 design, with an old school feeling from a distance, and when you come closer you discover a new world of details and the mask transforms into something else in front of your eyes. I love to paint a lot of details and 3-D effects, and here I also used a lot of Gold FX.

Welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery, on Facebook or in our App!

Thank you.

Andersen transforms into an Indian Chief in his new mask

Frölunda Indians
The new Frölunda Indians keeper Frederik Andersen had a classic but cool idea for his Indians mask. He wanted the entire mask painted as an Indian feather warbonnet, transforming himself into an Indian chief. I have painted this type of design many times and it always works. Clear colors and contrasts make the design very distinct also from a long distance. And just as usual lots of detail work that gives a great 3-D depth.

Welcome to check out Frederik Andersen's Frölunda Indians mask in the mask gallery and on Facebook! But the place where the masks can be seen first is always in the DAVEART App for iPhone, iPad and Android...

Holmqvist's Frölunda mask in old school style

Cash in old scool style on Lundström's Frölunda mask

Frölunda Indians
The design idea for Joakim Lundström's Frölunda Indians mask was to create a clear and distinct old school design with a modern touch with lots of cool details and 3-D effects. Joakim also wanted to pay tribute to his music idol mr Cash.

I created a design rich of contrasts with a direct connection to the team uniform. On each side of the mask I painted a hanging feather, just like on an Indian chief, and on the head graphics with lines inspired by feather warbonnets. On one side a theme with Cash was created, painted in old school oil paint style in gren tints.

Check out the mask in our mask gallery and on Facebook!

Törnqvist's new Frölunda Indians mask

Frölunda Indians
The playoffs in Sweden just has gotten started, much fun! That we celebrate with the presentation of the new mask for Frölunda's new keeper, and my pizza buddy, Gusten Törnqvist. It wasn't long time ago since we sat down in my kitchen with kebab pizzas, tasted great, right Gusten?!

See you soon, next mask to present on the site is a crazy mad and drewling dog...
