-I feel the need… The need for speed!

Winnipeg Jets

- I feel the need… The need for speed… yea the yellow dude is transformed into the fighter jet super pilot Maverick as the true Top Gun he is, ready to break the sound barrier 💥 in his custom made jet plane 😎

But he look a bit shocked…? O no… it is smoke coming from the wing… 😬 But I´m sure he will handle it somehow, he is the super pilot of fighter jets; yellow Maverick :) ⭐️

I love to tell a story with a mask, and transform a mask into something else… and here I got to do both :)

As always the design is loaded with details and DAVEART Trademark Super FX all over the mask, so the mask works both on a distance as up close, and a mask that breath Winnipeg Jets in every detail.

I am so proud to be your artist Peter! We have been working for so many years :) , and two (!) Olympics! 😃

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all, and watch out for the yellow Maverick in the sky! ⛅️

Budaj's latest mask is here...

Montreal Canadiens

Today we have the pleasure to present and unleash the latest mask artwork for my friend Peter Budaj of the Montreal Canadiens.

The design is created in an old school vintage style, a design that breathes Montreal Canadiens to 100%.

And the closer you come, the more details you will discover, and the mask transforms in front of your eyes... And for sure it is also loaded with all the DAVEART trademark effects.

And of course, on the top a yellow dude pops up, trying to be a goalie or something... He definitely got some pucks in the face...

I am so proud to be your personal mask artist Peter!

Check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all, much more to come!

A yellow goalie rocks on Budaj's latest Habs bucket...

Montreal Canadiens

This yellow dude always pop up on Peter Budaj's #NHL masks in on way or the other... :)

And here he does it big time... The yellow dude is transformed into a hockey goalie, and he burst out from the mask made of ice, ready to catch puck! The ice pieces are flying all over!

And he will save the goal in any way necessary, even if he happens to get a black eye… and a patch in the forehead after all the puck hits… :)

And check out his old school mask flying off his head… It has the Habs logo on it, and it is heavily used with lots of hits, and check out the puck marks on it… I created them with a real puck :)

It is so exciting to paint and create in different paint styles from day to day. As usual this piece for the #Montreal #Canadiens is loaded with all the #DAVEART NHL trademark effects to be discovered all over the mask :)

Thanks Peter, I am so proud to be your personal artist, we have been working together for so many years and I am looking forward to many new and exciting mask designs to create.

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Budaj´s Olympic mask is a tribute to the anthem of Slovakia

Sochi Olympics

Me and Peter have been worked together for so many years, and this is the second Olympic mask we create masks together. I am so proud to be your painter Peter!

Peter #Budaj´s Olympic mask is a tribute to the anthem of Slovakia. The jersey of Slovakia with the special pinstripes with the Slovak anthem written in it, here the pinstripes continues and connect the mask with Budaj´s passion for his country.

The rest of this #Sochi #Olympic design is a classic old school design, with the crest of Slovakia in the centre. The design is loaded with so many details and 3D effects and #DAVEART trademark effects, the closer you come the more you will discover.

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all for your interest and visit here at the site.

Messi on Budaj´s new mask

Montreal Canadiens

When the Montreal Canadiens keeper Peter Budaj called and told me what he wanted on his new mask I wanted to start right away. Peter is just like me a big soccer fan, and we both love the wizard Lionel Messi, soccer player in Barcelona.

I have been working with Peter for many years and he always has so cool ideas. I made some sketches and started. The design is a tribute to Messi with lots of details. From a distance the design is clear, and when you come closer a new world of details opens up. The white base of the mask makes it pop, and in the white base I also painted the surface of a soccer ball. And lots of 3-D effects and metallic glitter, and DAVEART Holographix FX.

And of course Ned shows up, as always on Peter´s masks, and this time he is dressed as a soccer player in Slovakia´s National Team jersey. But poor Ned, he is hit in the head by the ball...

Just as usual you can find this and Peter Budaj´s all other masks in the mask gallery, on Facebook and in the DAVEART App. Thank you.

Asian mysticism with the Three Storms glowing in the dark on Budaj's new mask

Montreal Canadiens

Today we have the pleasure to present Peter Budaj's new Montreal Canadiens mask. Peter had such a cool idea for this one... He wanted the Three Storms, the three Asian super wizards with the mega hats from the super movie Big Trouble in Little China... :-) He also wanted Asian mysticism all over the mask, mixed with an old school Habs design.

So exciting to create! One Storm is standing on each side of the mask shooting magic bolts. And all bolts in the design are glowing in the dark! Yes! And just as usual, when you come closer you enter a new dimension of details to discover. You find Chinese stone dragons with glowing eyes, and an Asian script rolled up on the chin of the mask in a cool 3-D way where you find Peter's player number. You also find a cool Chinese lion guardian in the front of the mask, and if you look close in the white lines of the mask you find small dragons and ying and yang.

You may wonder where the third Storm wizard is, well look at the backplate...

Go to the mask gallery to check out Peter Budaj's Montreal Canadiens mask, or our Facebook page or the DAVEART App. More Habs masks to present soon!

Yeti practices dance on Budaj's new Colorado mask

Colorado Avalanche
I had really fun when I painted the NHL star Peter Budaj's new Colorado Avalanche mask. I used the cool foot logo that Colorado has, and created a pattern on the mask, just like dance steps all over the mask, mr Yeti practices dance... But well, he doesn't seem to be that successful, he looks a little bit scared as he shows up on the side... I love to paint much details, and mix it with humor, just like here.

And on the backplate Peter's alter ego shows up, check out who that is in the mask gallery!

Budaj celebrates his hometown on his Olympic mask

Team Slovakia
David Gunnarsson was given the honorable assignment by Peter Budaj to create his Slovakian mask for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. Peter and David discussed ideas back and forth, and out came a design on which Peter wanted to celebrate his hometown in Slovakia.

Go to DAVEART MaskGallery to check out his mask design, where a certain dude from his Colorado masks shows up...
