Unique Moose mask… it can be yours! Charity auction, help us fight children´s cancer

New York Rangers

Today we present a very unique Moose mask, and it can be yours! We will sell it in a charity auction for Barncancerfonden. It is a Swedish foundation fighting children´s cancer, see more at www.barncancerfonden.se . Help us fight children´s cancer.

When Johan Moose Hedberg trained with #NewYork Rangers earlier this fall #Rangers quickly ordered a mask for him and I created it for him. Now when Moose will not continue with Rangers me and Moose decided we wanted to do something extra special with this mask. We will auction it off for charity, and the money goes to Barncancerfonden. E-mail us your bid to david@daveart.com, the auction closes 15th of October.

It may be the coolest Moose masks ever! Since the mask should have a New York theme, we transformed Moose into Snake Plissken, inspired from the classic movie "The Escape from New York" :)

The mask is just as in the movie… New York in the future, a bad future and New York is damaged and built into a prison! You see the prison walls there on each side with the NYR shield on it.

But nothing can hold Moose Plissken, he just breaks through the wall, and bricks are flying all over. Of course he has his eye patch and leather jacket, and huge gun, just as the Plissken he is. And check out the gun closely, it not only has laser sight, check out the name of the gun, it is a Mooze Uzi :)

On the other side you see the liberty statue fallen into pieces, just as in the movie… and hey there is also a Wanted poster, they are trying to catch Moose Plissken! Watch out!

The chin of the mask is transformed into New York street life, with a street and a classic red fire hydrant, and a steaming manhole of course! 100% New York...

I just love to paint action, and extreme details, and create new Moose characters, and create story telling designs, and here you have it all!

Thanks #Moose! Love to be your painter! We have been working together now for 16 years!

Thank you all for your visit here at the site!

Welcome with your bid and this mask can be yours! Help us fight children´s cancer.

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

The Moose is more wise and experienced than ever

New Jersey Devils

So what is this... Well, it is now more than a decade since I and Moose did the first Moose-mask, the mask that gave my buddy Johan Hedberg his nickname...and the years go by fast, and for every year the Moose gets wiser and wiser and more experienced and better than ever.

So on this mask the Moose is older than ever... :-) Check him out, now he wears thick glasses, and he has a beard...and he has lost his cane there somewhere... And he has also lost all his teeth except one, and can you see what he is looking for, he has lost his dentures... Can you help him and find them there somewhere on his mask?

Welcome to check out this old school retro Devils mask of Johan Hedberg, with more details than ever. You can find it in the MaskGallery on our site, on our Facebook page and in the DAVEART App.

Thanks for your interest! Very soon we will present the next new NHL mask!

The Moose goes old school

New Jersey Devils

Today we have the pleasure to present Johan ”Moose” Hedberg's new Moose mask. Oh man, the years really go by... now it is 10 years ago I created the first Moose mask for Johan that gave him the nickname Moose... :) Maaany Moose masks have been created after that, in all kind of different styles...

This one Johan and I created in true old school style. Strong graphics with the Devils profile and logos, with strong connections to the uniform. Of course, as usual, lots and lots of details that you will see when you look close, for example a cool Devils logo pattern in sketchy style in the white base. But from a distance it's an old school design.

The Moose pops up on each side of the mask...once again dressed up in a Devils suit... watch out! That fork looks sharp...

Check out Johan Hedberg's New Jersey Devils mask in the mask gallery or on Facebook! Or in the DAVEART App from your smartphone...

New Moose mask for Hedberg

New Jersey Devils
It’s always crazy much fun to create new Moose masks for Johan Hedberg. I made my first mask for Johan 13 years ago, and it has been maaaany more since then. This design is a kind of continuation of Johan's previous NJ Devils design that he was so satisfied with.

A strict and clean Devils design, with a cool Moose that a bit naughty shows up on one of the side in a Devils suit... :-) With "Moose" as Johan's nickname the Moose always has a natural place on the masks. I love to paint much details and fun 3-D effects that lift the whole. This design is brighter than the previous one, we have been much inspired by the Devils' white game uniform.

Check out Johan Hedberg's New Jersey Devils mask in the gallery and in our App for iPhone and Android. Or on our Facebook page where you also can comment on it...

Moose has arrived to da Devils

New Jersey Devils
It's always so much fun to paint Johan Hedberg's Moose masks, highlights of the year! Now it's time for the first Devils Moose mask, and it's a clean old school New Jersey Devils design with the logo in focus and inspired by the team uniform, spiced up with 3-D effects and metallic. But then on one side Moose shows up...

Hedberg's Moose head mask

Atlanta Thrashers
I've had this idea for a long time, and now it was finally time to realize it. It was crazy much fun to paint a moose head all over the mask, I really had to use my imagination to make it fit on the mask... I worked a lot with clear color fields and contrast lines that tie the design together and make it maximum clear and distinct.

Check it out in MaskGallery and on the DAVEART Facebook page where you also can make a comment. Welcome!

Check out Hedberg's latest Moose mask

Atlanta Thrashers
Today we have the pleasure to present the latest mask in the series of Johan Hedberg's enormously popular Moose masks! It has now gone 10 years since the first Moose mask entered the ice and started the Moose hysteria that actually gave Johan Hedberg his nickname...

Go to DAVEART MaskGallery to check out the latest version of the Moose mask, with Max Moosy showing up on one side among all the Atlanta graphics... The design is created with strong contrasts, extreme detail work and 3-D effects beyond normal. And of course the so popular DAVEART Holographix FX in the background!
