Halak´s new Islanders mask transforms into a lighthouse…💡

New York Islanders

As the true New York Islanders mask it is, Jaroslav Halak´s new Islanders bucket transforms into a real lighthouse, glowing in the dark helping the ships at the ocean⛵️.

Jaro and I brainstormed together when we were about to create this piece🎨. Our ideas emerged into a plan and I started to paint and create.

I love the challenge of coming up with new design ideas day in day out.🎯

The old school touch of the design fits perfect with the cool Islanders logos.👊🏻

And just as usual the design is loaded with all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX💎, such as Hologram 2.0✨, 3D Paint Tech🎨 and as you can see GLOW Tech🔎.

Thanks Jaro, I am so proud to be your artist😊. We have already more cool stuff in the pipeline.

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Neuvirth´s new Islanders mask is a true lighthouse, it glows in the dark...💡

New York Islanders

Today we have the pleasure to present Michal Neuvirth´s new New York Islanders mask. And as the true Islanders mask it is💦, it is transformed into a lighthouse💡. And just as a lighthouse should do, it is glowing in the dark with DAVEART G.L.O.W Tech FX💡 to help the ships in the stormy weather. That is what we call a lighthouse mask.

The whole design is created in a classic old school way with strong contrasts, easy to read on a distance. Just as a lighthouse should be. And the closer you come, the more details you will discover and the whole mask transforms into a storybook in front of your eyes 📚.

And for sure it is loaded with all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX💎...😬

Poulin´s new mask is a tribute to the military

New York Islanders

I just love to tell the story in the details, and every mask has its own history. 📚

It´s with a great pleasure we present the latest mask artwork for the New York Islanders keeper Kevin Poulin.🌆

The design is a direct continuation of his previous Islanders design we created together. This design is a tribute to the heroes in the military and into the design I created a camo pattern to be discovered all over the mask like a treasure map.

A design that works both on a distance with its clean cut profile, and up close with the insane detail work.👊

As usual the mask is loaded with all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX💎

Thanks Kevin, I am so proud to be your artist and explore the world of mask art with you😃🎨

Johnson´s Islanders mask art continues…🎨

New York Islanders

Today we have the pleasure to present Chad Johnson´s latest chapter in his series of mask art. 🚀

Behind every mask artwork it is an unique story. Me and Chad have been working together for many years and created and evolved his own unique mask style. I am so proud to be your artist Chad! 😃

The design goes in the same lines as Chad´s previous masks, crisp and clean, easy to see on a distance and a design that breath Islanders to 100%. And this one is created in an old school classic and truly vintage style. 🎨 It is created so it looks old and used, heavily used… scratches and marks all over the mask in a cool way, and it is even rust coming from the screws…🔩 and it is all also made in a matte finish :) Truly old school.💥👊

As usual it is loaded with insane detail work and 3D effects, just what I love to do, and all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX💎…

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Legends on Leggio´s new Islanders mask

New York Islanders

I am very happy to present David Leggio´s new New York Islanders mask.

It was such a pleasure to paint and create this piece. David wanted to pay tribute to New York Islanders on his new mask. So on the mask you will find Islanders legends Mike Bossy and the coach Al Arbour. All created in a classic old school style, using a brush and blue paint.

The paintings are built into the design which is created in and old school style with the awesome colors and logos of Islanders in focus. The four horizontal lines on each sides symbolize the 4 cups of the club.

The closer you come to the design the more details will open up and the mask transforms in front of your eyes. It´s all in the details :)

Nilsson´s old school design with Thor

New York Islanders

Today we have the pleasure to present Anders Nilsson´s latest New York Islanders mask.

This #NHL design is created as an old school design, that pays tribute to old school #Islanders mask art. Me and Anders talked and brainstormed different design ideas during summer and this design crystallized in front of our eyes. I started to paint.

The clean lines creates the crisp look and makes it a 100% Islanders mask. On each side you will find Thor to give Anders great powers.

The Zombie Fryer is here

New York Islanders

Let us present…: The Zombie Fryer! The most effective weapon against zombies!

Kevin Poulin wanted something really, really scary on his new New York Islanders mask… Something very badass with zombies… something never done before… I started to think… And this idea emerged in my brain… How about transform the whole mask into Old Sparky….

As you know, the only way to stop a zombie is to kill the brain… and here is when Old Sparky can be in handy… Look closely on the chin of the mask, there you find the power switch, and it is turned on… Holy smokes, even the eye of the zombie pops out…

I just love to come up with new ideas day in day out and play with the airbrush :) Fantasy is my biggest passion… But I do not think zombies love this idea….

Kevin, love to be your painter, it is so creative! :)

As usual the design is packed with all the DAVEART trademark effects and all kind of details to be discovered all of the mask…

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all for your interest in my paintings!

Nilsson's favorite movie...

New York Islanders

Anders Nilsson has a favorite movie, and he wanted that on his mask. The movie is The Escape from Alcatraz, and I love that movie too, I've seen it so many times. I started to brainstorm how to build the design, and Anders gave me thumbs up directly and I started to paint. Clint Eastwood on the side carving out from the wall, and in the background you see the silhouette of the island giving cool depth to the design.

The rest of the design is built on Islanders' cool logos and colors, with strong colors, giving the design a sweet old school feeling. And just as usual the design is pumped with details, most of them you need to see the mask live to discover.

Love to work with you Anders!

You're all welcome to check out Anders' Islanders mask in the mask gallery.

Kevin Poulin’s new artwork built in silver

New York Islanders

Today we have the pleasure to present the New York Islanders keeper Kevin Poulin’s new mask painting. Kevin contacted me early about his new mask look, he wanted something really new...a totally unique look. He was sure what kind of theme he wanted. I spent the summer brainstorming and sketching. A design plan was set.

I used lots and lots of silver in the design, the whole upper part is silver tones, and together with the Islanders orange tones at the bottom it creates a totally unique look from a distance. And when you come closer you discover a new look in front of your eyes and a new design is created in silver and with a lot of speed.

Love to be your painter Kevin!

Check out Kevin’s Islanders mask in the mask gallery and on Facebook. Thank you all for your interest in my paint.

Nilsson´s glittering continuation

New York Islanders

I have painted for Anders Nilsson for many years and it is always so fun. Anders was so happy with his previous Islanders mask I created for him, so for this design he wanted it to be a clean continuation. It´s the same basic design that plays with the Islanders logos, but with a new base color and also other details. The DAVEART XXFX DiamondGlitter makes the design elements pop, and all over the mask there are hidden details to be discovered when you come closer and closer to the mask.

Welcome to check out Anders Nilsson´s Islanders mask in the MaskGallery. Thank you.

DiPietro´s new mask a tribute to his father and USA

New York Islanders

It is so incredibly exciting to create the mask artworks for my friend, the New York Islanders keeper Rick DiPietro. Once again the theme of the mask is military to honor his father who was a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam war.

And once again we wanted to do something totally new, think outside the box, but with the same theme. This design concept I came up with and sketched when I sat at Heathrow airport waiting for my plane.

The design is a so called 2 designs in 1, and also a storyteller-design. The design is built on two lines, the orange and blue lines inspired from the white Islanders jersey. I painted them winding around the mask, almost like a flag flying in the wind, it gives a very cool design when you look at the mask from a distance. And I added white stars in the blue to give a feeling of the US flag. Then, when you come closer you will discover all the details and a new design is created in front of your eyes.

On one side the helicopter again is in focus, this time I painted it in a sketchy documentary style. I love to paint in new styles, never stand still. Rick also wanted his dog in the design, I painted the dog as a soldier on the other side.

Then all over the mask I created a detailed map of artworks as a tribute to USA. I love to do a lot of research for every mask. It is all painted in that sketchy style. I love to create lots and lots of details, here on this mask you will find famous statues, soldiers, action shots, even parts of the Memorial Wall and much much more. On the chin is Rick´s own logo I created for him a couple of years ago.

I remember when I made the first mask for Rick some years ago. I wanted to do the design in a totally new way, something never done before. Rick was so happy when he got it. When we presented it my mailbox almost exploded of all the mails I got, I was so happy. And it has been the same after every new design I have made for Rick.

Welcome to check out Rick DiPietro´s New York Islanders mask design in the mask gallery and on Facebook. And in the App for iPhone, iPad and Android of course...

Glitter on Nilsson´s new Islanders mask

New York Islanders

Today we have the pleasure to present Anders Nilsson´s new New York Islanders mask. I have painted for Anders for many years, and we have talked many times about doing a lot of glitter on his mask. Now on his first NHL mask we felt it was time. Anders wanted a graphic and clean design with a lot of white, and the Islanders logo in a cool pattern all over the mask.

I put together a design concept for him and he immediately gave me thumbs up, and I created this in the middle of the hot summer. The painted cage is a thing I and Anders have made on many of his masks.

Welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery, on Facebook or in the App. Thanks.

Rick DiPietro's latest artwork

New York Islanders
It's always so exciting to create Rick DiPietro's mask designs with all details and messages, I really love it! It's also a great honor for me. This design is a continuation of the previous masks that I have created, and here we have worked more with a white bottom tone, with white parts in the camo pattern in Islanders colors.

The motifs on the sides with war theme are mixes of techniques with classic airbrush and old school oil paint tech. The entire design is a discovery in detail work. The whole creates a mask design that is a tribute to Rick's father who was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam.

Check out Rick DiPietro's Islanders mask in the mask gallery and on Facebook where you also can comment on it. But the place where the masks can be seen first is the DAVEART App for iPhone and Android.

Lawson's different Islanders design

New York Islanders
Nathan Lawson had a quite clear picture of how he wanted his new Islanders mask. He wanted a tractor with an old barn behind, and his dog, and also a nice yacht cruising on the waves describing New York in summer time. A very different and fun painting assignment I thought before I got started to paint this mask that really breathes New York Islanders to a 100%, and in the same time is completely unique for Nathan.

Check out Nathan Lawson's New York Islanders mask in the mask gallery or on our popular Facebook page, now "liked" by more than 4000 people...! Or in the DAVEART App for iPhone and Android of course...

Koskinen's new clean Islanders design

New York Islanders
Today we have the pleasure to present the New York Islanders keeper Mikko Koskinen's latest mask art. Mikko and I talked back and forth about ideas different design ideas for his new mask design. I got the idea how we could create stylish graphics with Islanders' cool logo, and graphic lines that transform into flying 3-D pennants creating a design in the design.

All together a design with strong contrasts with the color white as the magic link. Check it out in the mask gallery or on Facebook.

Poulin pays tribute to legends

New York Islanders
Kevin Poulin had the genius idea to pay tribute to the two legendary Islanders players Billy Smith and Mike Bossy, and around this create a classic old school design. I made a sketch for Kevin, and since he liked it was just to get started. One side of the mask is devoted to the two legends, painted in blue tints with orange glow it really breathes Islanders, just like the rest of the design that is tied together with graphic lines and logos. Check out Kevin Poulin's New York Islanders mask in the mask galllery and on our Facebook page.

Camo in Islanders colors on DiPietro's new mask design

New York Islanders
It's always a great honor to create the NHL star Rick Dipietro's mask creations. Rick wants much details, and that's exactly what I love to paint. The design is a continuation of his previous success designs that I had the pleasure to create, and it's a tribute to his father who was helicopter pilot in the Vietnam war.

On the sides you see views of helicopters together with other details from the same theme, and in the bottom a camoflage theme created in the Islanders colors. Check out Rick DiPietro's New York Islanders mask yourself in the mask gallery and on Facebook!
