Ellis new Caps mask in a matte vintage style🎨👊🏻

Washington Capitals

Today we have the pleasure to present the new Washington Capitals mask for my friend Dan Ellis.😎

Dan and I have been working together for 10 years, it is a long line of exciting masks we have created together. With this new Washington Capitals mask Dan wanted to do a design i the old school era.⭐️

We brainstormed together, and a plan emerged, I started to create.🎨

On a distance it is a very classic design with the Caps eagle in focus. All created in a vintage style which fits the matte finish perfect. Then when you come closer it opens up and becomes a Storyteller mask📚. I love the challenge of creating the designs in the details.🔎

And just as usual you will find all the DAVEART Trademark Super FX💎 in the creation.

Thanks Dan! I love to be your artist!😊

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all for your interest in my paintings.❤️

Ellis´ new Florida mask is transformed into a... swamp boat (!!)…🌴🐊

Florida Panthers

Be ready for an action ride in the Florida swamps among dangerous animals…🌴 Dan Ellis new Florida bucket is transformed into a swamp boat, and of course it is a cool panther driving it…!😺

On one side he looks really badass…😼 but hey what is swimming under the boat… it is the tail of a gator!🐊

The panther can sense it is a gator somewhere, but he can’t see it, he look back… Oh no, this is bad news… the gator pop up on the side with hungry eyes.. We recommend the panther to go even faster! 💨

I love to paint masks so they transforms into something else… and this is the first time I transform a mask into a Florida swamp boat… a perfect fit for a goalie in Florida Panthers… 😺🍊🌴

And just as usual it is loaded with details all over the mask and all the DAVEART Trademark effects💎… I had fun when I painted this piece.😃🎨

Thanks Dan! We have been working for so many years, you are so creative and I love to be your painter.🎨

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Florida Panthers in a new way on Ellis mask

Florida Panthers

Dan Ellis is such a skilled artist and every time we work on new design together he sends me amazing drawings. This time Dan had a vision how to create a new Florida Panthers design, and create the Panthers logo in a profile look.

We created some drawings together and this design emerged. It resulted in an intense design loaded with Florida Panthers details and hidden messages. A design that works in all angles.

Thanks Dan, I am so proud you have chosen me to be your personal artist and evolve and create your designs from mask to mask. We have worked together for so many years.

As usual the design is loaded with all the DAVEART trademark effects and 3D effects to be discovered all over the mask.

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Ellis transformed into Tonto in his last Dallas mask...

Dallas Stars

Right now I am working on Dan Ellis new mask for his new team Florida Panthers…it is very exciting and something never done before on a Panthers mask :) Will be presented very soon!

Today we are presenting Dan´s last mask for his previous team Dallas Stars. I created it during the Olympic break and it was so fun to create. I just love Cowboys and the wild west….

Dan had such a cool idea… he is a big fan of Lone Ranger and his buddy Tonto, and I am also a big fan, since I was a kid :) It was so fun to paint and create this piece, I love to do new and different ideas every day.

So on this mask Dan is transformed into Tonto! The same kind of Tonto hat on the top of the mask with the dead bird…

Of course Tonto´s face paint is in the front, but here created in Dallas Stars colors…:)

Around that a rough and rustic wild west look, that fit a Tonto goalie perfect.

And hey check out the details, I just love to create details… Here you will find Lone Ranger of course, and a wild west train… and so much more :)

Just as usual the design is created with all the DAVEART trademark effects.

Thanks Dan, love to be your painter! It is so creative :)

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

A tribute to the legends of the Dallas Stars

Dallas Stars

Thanks Dan for having me as your personal artist, it is so exciting to work with you and be creative together with you.

Dan Ellis had an awesome idea for his new #DallasStars mask, he wanted to pay tribute to the legends of Dallas Stars, all created in a new iconic way.

I loved his idea, and Dan is a very skilled artist himself, he sent me some cool drawings. Together we brainstormed, and a plan crystallized how to create the tribute design. I picked up my airbrush guns and started to work :)

Dan #Ellis wanted to honor the four Dallas legends Brett #Hull, Mike #Modano, Ed #Belfour and Marty #Turco. The foundation of Dallas Stars. The goalies are created with paintings inspired by their classic mask designs, and Hull and Modano are created with portrait paintings mixed with action paintings.

I love to create different masks in different styles from day, to be as versatile as possible. This artwork is created in a worthy and realistic look, all created in a light style, to describe a feeling between a dream and reality.

The design is created in total sync with the new Dallas uniform in old school style. The closer you come the more details you will discover, and of course all the #DAVEART trademark effects are there :)

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all for your visit here on the site.

Ellis´ Stars mask transformed into the battle of Alamo

Dallas

I can tell you this, I had fun when I created this #NHL piece :-)

How about create the whole mask into the famous battle of Alamo, sounds like an exciting paint ride, and a perfect theme for a #Dallas #Stars mask. I just love to create story telling designs.

The famous battle of the #Alamo (February 23 – March 6, 1836) was a pivotal event in the Texas Revolution. Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under President General Antonio López de Santa Anna launched an assault on the Alamo Mission near San Antonio de Béxar (modern-day San Antonio, Texas, USA). All of the Texian defenders were killed. Santa Anna's perceived cruelty during the battle inspired many Texians—both Texas settlers and adventurers from the United States—to join the Texian Army. Buoyed by a desire for revenge, the Texians defeated the Mexican Army at the Battle of San Jacinto, on April 21, 1836, ending the revolution.

So I started the project. I transformed the whole mask into the The Alamo building, a.k.a San Antonio de Valero, and it´s full war between the Texians and the Mexican troops. Take cover, bombs and dynamites are flying! And axes…

The American legends Davy Crockett and James Bowie are there for sure fighting with the Texians. Mr #Crockett in his fur hat and long rifle, and Mr #Bowie with his huge Bowie knife, yes it´s from him the huge Bowie knife got the name. By the way, I had a Bowie knife when I was a kid … you know the Rambo knife with all kind of cool gears in it… :-) I´m a huge fan of Sly!

Everything is totally custom made here for Dan #Ellis, I just love to draw and design characters and come up with new ideas. Every mask design I create is totally custom made for each goalie.

Me and Dan always talk and brainstorm a lot for every new artwork we create together. We have been working together for many years, it´s always so exciting, check out some of Dan´s previous mask designs on my site. And we are already working on more stuff for Dan!

For this new Dallas mask we wanted to do something very unique and never done before. And I remember it very well, I sat at the cinema watching a movie this summer, when this idea came to me and struck me like a lightning, all the pieces fell into place. I told Dan about my ideas and he loved them. Dan is a very skilled artist himself and we always send sketches back and forth.

As usual the design is loaded with extreme details to be discovered all over the mask, and all the #DAVEART trademark effects :-)

Thank you all for your visit here on the site, you are always welcome back, we always update the site with new paintings several times every week.

Thanks Dan for having me as your personal artist, it is an honor.

You are all welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

The hurricane is wilder than ever, but the fishermen just keep on doing their job, cooler than ever

Carolina Hurricanes

On Carolina Hurricanes keeper Dan Ellis' brand new mask the hurricane storm is wilder than ever, it's total chaos all over the mask! It is blowing so much so even the Carolina graphics on the top of the mask is blowing off!

And just as on Dans previous mask the old Fishermen are cooler than ever and do not care about the storm what so ever, they're just keep on doing their job, just as a goalie in the wildest storm. It's a perfect theme for a goalie.

Dan always has such amazing ideas for his new masks, it's such a joy to create your masks Dan! We have been working together for many years and I remember very well every mask we have created :-)

Just as usual the design is totally loaded with details to be discovered all over the mask, both me and Dan loves a lot of details and special fx :-)

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery, in the App or on our Facebook page.

Thank you all.

Cool fishermen stay cool in the Hurricane storm, but watch out for the submarine!

Carolina Hurricanes

Today we have the pleasure to present my buddy Dan Ellis' new Carolina Hurricanes mask... Dan is always so fun to work with, he sends me so cool drawings, I've told him he can start work here after his goalie carrier. :-) I am so proud to be your painter Dan!

Dan had the coolest idea... he wanted something totally new for a Carolina mask... something describing the unique working situation the goalie has... so how about cool old fishermen (!) working in the wildest hurricane storm, just keeping their heads cool, even though it's the worst storm around them. That is a perfect connection to a goalie's unique working situation!

I love to work with a lot of details, so the whole design is built on that, and the closer you look the more you will discover. :-) The fishermen just keep on working in the middle of the wildest storm. But hey...it seems to be trouble...a big submarine is coming! But the fisherman stays cool anyway... :-)

Welcome to check out Dan's new Hurricanes mask, you will find it all over, here on the site, on the social networks Twitter and Facebook, and of course in the DAVEART App...! Thank you all for visiting my site and checking out my paintings! Take care.

The Rambo rubber duck is going to get squeezed...!

Anaheim Ducks

It's so much fun to paint for Dan Ellis, he wants designs with humour and lots and lots of details. When Dan moved to Anaheim I first made an orange Ducks mask to connect with the orange uniform, the Zombie-mask, and then a mask for the black uniform, the Pirate mask. Check them out on the site... And now the mask for the white uniform...

Let us present the Combat Marine Ducks mask! Dan Ellis wanted to pay tribute to the US army on this mask.

The Ducks are back again, this time as Combat Marines... and as you can see I had a lot of fun creating this design. Dan Ellis is a very skilled artist himself and draws a lot and showed me some sketches, and from there I continued. On one side a Duck is driving the humwee, with great speed, but watch out, there is that rubber duck again... and this time with a red Rambo bandana... Check out the rubber duck on the other masks... :-)

On the other side another Duck is dropped off from the helicopter and he is ready with his bazooka, and watch out, the power switch on the bazooka is turned to "On"...

On the chin Dan's name on a marksmen badge, and on the top fighter jets, just to mention some of the details... Check it out in the mask gallery or on Facebook!

Dan Ellis' new Ducks mask is a pirate ship...

Anaheim Ducks

I love to transform the masks into new stuff...and Dan Ellis had an awesome idea with cool ducks as skull pirates on his new mask... We made a virtual high five and I started this paint adventure where I transformed the whole mask to the front of a pirate ship cruising on the ocean... The water is splashing up on the sides as the ship is ready to attack some poor ships at night... You see some of them in the background.

Of course this pirate ship just as all pirate ship has a wood statue in the front of the ship, and on this pirate ship the statue obviously is a Ducks mask. The pirate skull ducks on each side are standing on the gunwale ready for war with a bunch of weapons... One of them is extra pissed off, he is holding his loved bottle of rome...but someone has emptied it, no wonder he's so mad...!

And hey there I recognize something, check out the water, the cute rubber duck is here again, this time dressed as a pirate. We also found him on Ellis' previous Zombie Ducks mask...but then as a zombie!

If you dare, check out Dan Ellis' new Ducks mask in scary pirate style, with all the extreme details and effects, in the mask gallery, the App or on our Facebook page. We will have more Ducks masks to present soon...

Even the rubber duck has turned into a zombie on Ellis’ new Zombie Ducks mask

Anaheim Ducks
Wow, the zombie ducks occupy Anaheim...watch out! The top of the mask turns into a bodybag, and when the zipper opens up all the way to the chin, out from the bodybag comes a badass zombie duck with a mask! His eyes are burning of madness!

More zombie ducks show up on each side of the mask...and these zombies are really of a new kind, cause they can handle weapons...a hockey stick and a chain saw! Even the classic Ducks logo on the side has turned into a zombie, check out the bloodshot eyes... Oh no, even the cute little rubber duck on the side has turned into a badass zombie!

I cannot tell you enough how funny it is to paint masks for Dan Ellis... :-) But I can tell you where to check it out, in the mask gallery and on Facebook!

A Fishman on Ellis Tampa mask

Tampa Bay Lightning
The NHL star Dan Ellis has great imagination and he always wants to tell a story on his masks. For me it's very creative to create his designs. For this mask Ellis wanted a really different Tampa design...he came up with the super cool idea to have a fish man, hunting in the ocean... A fantastic painting assignment!

I sketched a hybrid of a human and and a fish, a fish head with a human body, and a shark fin! He's a bounty hunter...! He has an awesome outfit with a harpoon driven by compressed hair on his back... Check out Dan Ellis' very unique Tampa Bay Lightning mask design in the gallery or on our Facebook page.

Tampa Bay Lightning
It's always much fun to paint for Dan Ellis, which I have done for many years now, he has really fun ideas and great imagination.
