Lundström´s Leksands mask is tribute to the fans ⭐️⭐️

Leksands IF

Today we have the pleasure to present Joakim Lundström´s new Leksands mask for the Swedish SHL leauge 😃

The design is created in an old school style, a design that breath Leksand and hockey and is a true tribute to the fans of Leksand. I have been working with Leksand for 18 years and it is always such a pleasure to create the new blue and white masks ⭐️

The design is created in a vintage look so it is old and used with lots of scratches and marks, and even rust coming from the screws… this is an old mask! And mixed with all the top modern DAVEART Trademark Super FX to be discovered all over the mask like a treasure map.

On the side of the mask you also find Joakim´s tribute to his two kids. I am so proud to be your painter Jocke!

You are welcome to check out the mask in the mask gallery or on our Facebook page. You´ll also find a lot of behind the scene photos on our Instagram, and you´re welcome to follow us also on Twitter.

Thank you all!

Elvis rocks on Lundström's new Timrå mask

Timrå IK
Today we have the pleasure of presenting Timrå IK's new keeper Joakim Lundström's new mask the upcoming season in the Swedish Elitserien. I created it a hot summer day, and when Joakim told me what he wanted on his mask I was so happy. Elvis from the Jailhouse Rock times, couldn't be more exciting to create! I love to create and paint designs in totally new styles and constantly try new ideas. And this design we really wanted to create in a totally new way.

Since we wanted an old school look of Elvis, I chose to use old school oil paint tech when I painted Elvis in the characteristic rock poses on each side. In this way we got a perefect profile of the mask and the same rocking and dancing feeling as in the Jailhouse film.

I also love to create two designs in one. With this I mean that when you see the mask from distance you see one design, in this with a dancing Elvis, and when you come closer you discover a new design and a world of details that give depth to the whole. In the white base I created paintings and portraits of Elvis in sketch-like style, like the famous Elvis postage stamp and his autograph.

Cash in old scool style on Lundström's Frölunda mask

Frölunda Indians
The design idea for Joakim Lundström's Frölunda Indians mask was to create a clear and distinct old school design with a modern touch with lots of cool details and 3-D effects. Joakim also wanted to pay tribute to his music idol mr Cash.

I created a design rich of contrasts with a direct connection to the team uniform. On each side of the mask I painted a hanging feather, just like on an Indian chief, and on the head graphics with lines inspired by feather warbonnets. On one side a theme with Cash was created, painted in old school oil paint style in gren tints.

Check out the mask in our mask gallery and on Facebook!
