Emil Karlsson wanted a mask design with a theme with his favorite hero, the Phantom. And since it’s also of my own favorite heroes, it was a very funny assignment. We wanted to create a design solution as different as possible. I came up with this idea and Emil liked it.
The mix of detail painting with both airbrush and pencil creates a kind of old school cartoon feeling with strong contrasts. And as always extreme detail work, that I just love, mixed with Metallic FX by DAVEART and DAVEART Holographix FX. Check it out in the mask gallery and on Facebook!
